"Advent Hope is a wonderful church community filled with family and friends of all ages. Attendees are always greeted at the door with warmth and a smile. The church has active Bible studies (Sabbath school) for all ages, community groups, volunteer opportunities, and incredible worship music. Advent Hope is very active in serving the surrounding community, and its pastors/leaders consistently demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of scripture and theology through thought-provoking sermons. Just an overall wonderful place to be!"
"Very warm atmosphere with a good concentration of young professionals/college students. A place that is more welcoming than most other SDA churches. Outside of weekly service, there are a good amount of engaging programs to connect with other members. Highly suggest if youre searching for a spiritual community"
"I have been attending Advent Hope since 2010. I moved to the city in 2008 and did some church hoping. I am normally an out-going person but when not in my comfort zone I am a bit reserved. The first few times I went to Advent Hope I kept to myself but a few people did introduce themselves to me. I did not feel unwelcomed but I did not feel an immediate connection either. I continued to attend as I really enjoyed the sermons by former Pastor Tony Romeo. After a few months I decided to get involved and that is when I began to make Advent Hope my community. Everyone has different experiences and first impressions but it takes a while to build real connection and community. Since I started regularly attending and getting involved I have made some of the best friends and meet some really amazing people. It is a very diverse and welcoming community that strives to nurture members and visitors and also make a positive impact in the community."
"Overall the church is managed well and invests in the community it serves through events and programs held on Saturday and other days of the week. I moved to New York about a year ago and was able to immediately become engaged in the community through greeting and the community groups (a program that allows people to engage with smaller groups based on related interests). Looking forward to continuing my contributions to the growth of this church!"
"A great vibrant and diverse community of believers. I was greeted several times by different people on my first visit and felt comfortable and safe within just a few weeks. I have stayed for those reasons and probably even more because of the community groups and the level of spiritually centered activity outside the church between members and in the various ministries that allow me to get involved in the larger community outside the church. No community is perfect (until Jesus comes)... but this community has been perfect for me and my spiritual walk at least :)"
