"What a super team of firefighters are here! . I went in today to buy their tee shirt as a gift for my firefighter grandson,, and was courteously, and kindly greeted. These folks are busy, and I’m sure they treasure peace and quiet when not on the job— so special thanks is due! No sooner had I left the station than they were called out to Columbus Avenue. Thank you, Battalion 11! You’re not only genuinely brave local heroes, but also good people!"
"These guys respond so fast, it’s incredible. And once they arrive, they’re so effective. Thanks to the guys who rescued us from a stuck elevator—I’ve never been happier to see anyone in my whole life. Cheers!"
"My father Frank Piccioli was a firefighter here for many years. He got hurt on the job and retired from FDNY. The guys of the station always treat me like family whenever I visit the city and my father's picture has a pride of place attestation. They are not only the bravest they are the best."
"This firehouse ,which is right next to NYPD Pct 24, is a really busy one, and when I walk past on W 100th Street on way to subway or shoppibg, notice that both rigs are often out on runs...Parents bring kids to place all the time ( how can kids grow up without fire trucks?) and they also hold occasional Open Houses etc. as shown here)--yet remember these fire officers are "On the Job" working to prorect a big district which includes a number of Monuments including the Firemen's Memorial; over at Riverside Drive--the amazing kind effort and dedication "in a war that never ends" which produces the respect (even awe) we have for them."
"Ever since I was a child my older sister Laura would always take me and my siblings to visit the fire station & firemen. We lived on 100 street & Columbus . They are the best!!"
