"I have never written a review before but I felt this needed it, I experienced the worst customer service I have ever come across here. I walked in interested in a book, the entire time the male member of staff I asked was looking me up and down to the point that I had to ask if there was an issue, he said no but kept shaking his head in disgust at me. A few books caught my eye so I took an image to research at home and come back to buy when I had more time. At this he kept folding his arms and tutting at me, still not saying what the problem was. So I said “okay I won’t come back then” to which he replied “yeah that would be best”. This was so uncalled for as I literally did nothing, never experienced anything like this and it left me speechless at the level of entitlement and rudeness from someone who is supposed to be helping me. It’s a shame as it looked like a great store."

"Amazing hole in the wall East village bookshop. They sometimes host stand up comedy or other shows in their basement & have a solid selection of fairly priced used books across two levels. Their staff is welcoming and informative and it has become a staple stop for me every time I pass through the East village. I even started a collection of older Sci-Fi & fantasy books thanks to this shop and I can't find myself stopping the collection anytime soon. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!"

"Such a cool vibe in this bookstore! They partner with local artists and you can see artwork by local NYC artists on the walls. And it’s open until really late (which is great since most bookstores close early.) I got a poetry book that I’m excited to read!"
