"Hmmm.. So I used to go to school up the block at CES 229/CIS 230 as a kid and teenager. And one time we took a walk to this building and was told the history of where hip-hop and where it all started from. Allegedly, supposedly. I say that because some folks in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn say that it started there. However, this is the birth place as far as we're concerned. It's cool to know this is where hip-hop all started from but that's where it stops. Sometimes there's tours but if you go there, you'll just see the building and that spot where the parties happened but you can't even go in there. You'll just see it behind the gate. Also, the neighborhood sucks. Ghetto, dirty, nasty not much to really do but witness a ghetto wonderland. Actually, you could take a walk over the Highbridge into Manhattan, which is right near by. And the ONLY exclusively pedestrian bridge and the oldest bridge in NYC. So unless you're a big hip-hop head, aficionado then this probably won't mean a lot to you. Otherwise, it can be of importance. You choose."
