"Attended Mt Gilead for a funeral. I think they called it a Community Church. They have no parking (Duh, it's New York). The Pastor worked like five men welcoming us in, directing everyone where to sit, conducting the service, and setting up chairs in the basement after the service was over for the repass. His patience and thoughtfulness exemplified a true follower of Christ the Messiah."

"One of the few churches that have a choir that sings old time gospel songs. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The Pastor is an inspired preacher and has been associated with the church since his early childhood. Great air conditioning in the summer and comfortable heat in the winter. Basement area is nice and can be rented for social gatherings. Located on corner of Morris Avenue and 173rd Street with B43 bus service and D train one block away. Bronx Lebanon is one block away as is a park one block away."
