"Rosie the head of circulation is the best! I had a complicated issue transferring my library card from another town and she helped me the whole way through. She is a very kind and outgoing person and the lyndhurst library is lucky to have her there. The library has a large selection of books, audiobooks, movies, and even video games. Rosie was very excited to show everything they carried. Im excited to have a card here and really appreciate all the help."
"Small but fun toddler music classes on Tues. miss Nany can be horrible to kids though. Hard to get a smile out of the kids librarian Miss Nancy when we go in at 10am though which makes us feel unwanted and uncomfortable, not sure why one would work in the kids section but be grumpy in the morning lol. Also uncomfortable to hear her complaining visitors ‘I hate when people put donations in the return box, I mean come on people don’t read’. Makes you wonder what she’ll say about you once you leave. Makes a nasty atmosphere when you’ve simple come to have fun with your toddler and feel such negative energy and unhappy workers. Do better ppl! Especially in front impressionable children. She proceeded to then yell as some kid ‘can you please not push the books back’ . It was so loud and unsettling, it threw off the whole vibe.. I mean c’mon yell at your own kids but not at other people’s kids at your job, the poor kids and mother felt to incredibly uncomfortable. My toddler also never hears such loud yelling I wanted to take her home"
"I adore this library. The staff are amicable, and if you're lucky, you can find a peaceful and calm space to concentrate."
"This is a nice library. There’s a few downfalls though. If you want to use their printer, you can, however, expect to be there for several hours. I had to print paperwork for social security and my printer at home stopped working. I was literally at the library for 3 hours printing 55 pages. The guy that works there is super nice and was helping me as best he can but it still took hours. Also, I went there yesterday morning at 9am and didn’t realize they open late on Mondays. I wonder why that is. Anyhow, it’s a very nice building and nice employees."
"The children's library is underwhelming. Nutley and Belleville library have a better children's offering."
