Art Kids Academy

Art Kids Academy, located at 550 Valley Brook Avenue in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, was founded by Brandon and Jennifer Dorney in 2010. Their mission was to create an educational-focused art program that also provided a fun and interactive learning environment for kids ages 4 and up. Brandon, with his background in Graphic Design and Fine Arts Education, and Jennifer, with her expertise in English and Education, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the academy.

At Art Kids Academy, children learn about Master Artists, Art Styles, and Multicultural Art from around the world. The programs are educationally based, teaching the basics of art while encouraging creativity and exploration. Through inquiry-based teaching methods, children are engaged to think critically, make connections, and see the relevance of art in the world around them.

The academy provides a fun learning environment where kids can create beautiful artwork while listening to soft music in the background. Social interaction is encouraged, allowing children to build their social skills while sharing their love for art with others. Art Critique sessions are a highlight for parents and kids, as they discuss and interpret each other's artwork in a positive and nurturing way, building analytical skills and fostering creativity.
