Reviews
"I am at the UNITED STATES POST OFFICE (USPS) location at KATONAH AVE (WOODLAWN BRANCH) in the BRONX right now as I write this review because that’s how disappointed I am. I had the worst experience I’ve I ever had in my life with one of the employees called Maria (I tried to get her last name, they wouldn’t provide it to me but it may have been Shepherd). After I joined the line and waited almost 20 minutes for my turn, I got to her teller line and I explained to her that I needed to send a priority mail. She sent me back to grab a “blue and white” envelope so I left the line to go get the envelope. I couldn’t see the that envelope and I mistakenly picked a different envelope ( blue with red). I waited again to go back to her line. The moment I attempted to hand her back the envelope and my docs, she said to me with the most nastiest, rudest attitude and in a raised, and condescending tone “THAT’s NOT BLUE AND WHITE ENVLOPE, THAT’s RED AND BLUE!” I was so shocked and taken aback, it took me a minute to respond to her. I said “ok Ms., there’s no need to speak to me like that! I mistakenly picked the wrong envelope so that’s all you had to say to me. She repeated herself again with an even more raised, condescending and rude tone while she appeared to gather her stuff to leave her teller station. I then said to her, “there was no need for the rudeness. I’m not your child!” I left the line again to go look for the so called “blue and white” envelope and she immediately closed her window and left the station. I really don’t know what her deal was but I was not going to leave the Post Office without addressing that horrible experience. I got the envelope, filled in the info and went to wait online again to be seen by another employee. I asked for that very rude and unpleasant employee’s name and I was only given Maria. I insisted on getting her full name or a business card or something but the gentleman said he couldn’t remember; I sensed he may not have wanted to provide it to me but he did ask if I wanted to speak to a supervisor and I said yes. I waited for another 15 minutes before “the supervisor,” “Ms. Gayle” came out. I explained to her what happened and the rude experience I encountered with the employee Maria. She said she apologizes and that she will speak with her but I didn’t get the sense that she really cared or was being serious about it. I mentioned to her that I will write a review about my experience and I also needed the full name of the rude employee but she said she couldn’t provide me the employee’s last name. I I thanked her, and left the post office very disappointed because all I wanted to do was send a priority mail, for which I paid over $30 and received the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had! I don’t intend to go to this particular Post Office again although it’s very convenient and only about 15 minutes walk from me!"
"Daniel and Albany were super patient and helpful for my moms first time PP application. Very rare to find such customer services these days. Definitely will come back for my any shipping work."
"They are rude and don’t want to work. I went in to check for a package that was packaged to return to sender 4am. They lied to me and told me it was returned the same day with attitude. Mind you this is after lying. Saying my address doesn’t exist the day of delivery at which is on my id as well as a mailbox with 1F on it in the main entrance of the building that they always go through. I wouldn’t give them a star at all if it were possible."
"I've never had a bad experience here. Lines can be long and I often wish there was one more person at the windows, but the staff are unfailingly courteous, professional, and have several times gone the extra mile - checking in with me at home - to help resolve a problem. Daniel is a terrific guy. The two supervisor/managers (middle-aged ladies, their names escape me) are great too."
"Me and my husband came here yesterday to renew our passports and the lady that’s called Maria was SOOOO NICE, even the other women but she’s the one that helped me through the steps very well. When I read the reviews, I was nervous about this place but when I went there, i was really comfortable and my view point changed because everyone was super nice. Also, it did not take long at all, at most it took 10 minutes. Thank you guys!!"
