About the Business
Bergen County SPCA - Law Enforcement Division
Welcome to the Bergen County SPCA - Law Enforcement Division, a dedicated branch of local government committed to the welfare and protection of animals throughout Bergen County. Located at 100 Eisenhower Drive, Paramus, New Jersey, our division operates as the Animal Cruelty Task Force under the direct supervision of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. We specialize in investigating and prosecuting alleged acts of animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect, working tirelessly to ensure justice and safety for all animals in our community.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Bergen County SPCA does not run a shelter or adoption service, nor do we partake in animal control functions. However, we collaborate closely with the Bergen County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center in Teterboro, NJ, to find loving homes for rescued animals and facilitate compassionate adoption services. On the second Sunday of each month from April through December, residents of Bergen County and neighboring areas are invited to visit the shelter and explore adoption opportunities.
Bergen County, nestled in the northeastern corner of New Jersey, is a vibrant community home to over 900,000 residents. As part of the New York City Metropolitan Area, Bergen County offers a rich tapestry of cultural and educational institutions, including 70 municipalities, several colleges and universities, and notable state parks.
Our mission extends beyond enforcement; we are committed to educational outreach and community partnerships that enhance animal welfare. Through diverse initiatives and impactful sponsorships, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals across Bergen County and beyond. We offer numerous volunteer opportunities for those eager to contribute to our cause, and donations to support our work are always welcome and tax-deductible as allowed by law.
For those wishing to report animal cruelty, our Animal Cruelty Hotline is available 24/7 at 201-573-8900. We are here to provide clear, concise answers to your questions and ensure transparency and ease of understanding for all community members.
Join us in our mission to protect our furry friends and create a safer, more compassionate community for all. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against animal cruelty.
