"LOVE THIS STOP! We have traveled from Rhode Island to the South and back a few times and this is one of our favorite pull offs for a quick walk for the dogs, and stretch for our legs with a beautiful view"
"The night view is beautiful and the day view is beautiful. A peaceful break or resting area overlooking the Hudson River. There are benches to sit on and binoculars. There are enough parking spaces. We played volleyball and badminton, the spaces are available."
"Nice area to just take in the views, or just relax and read a book. A decent amount of parking and areas to spread a blanket and have a picnic."
"This lookout on the Palisades Parkway is on the edge of the Hudson River. It might be smaller than the ones north of the George Washington Bridge, but it seems to be the only one with a clear shot of the Yonkers sunrise. I had to drive back and forth on the Parkway to find a good spot. The gate for State Line Lookout wasn’t open yet (it opens at 6 am, which is way after sunrise). Unless you want to park far away and hike in (there was one crazy guy with a giant lens walking by the highway in the pre-dawn darkness !), that wasn’t an option. Rockefeller Lookout wasn’t great for sunrise either - the cliffs are too flat and the trees block the view. Those two stops slowed me down, the I missed the sunrise I was hoping for. But I’ll definitely be back for another try!"
"Breathtakingly beautiful scenic vistas of the hudson River. It's a few hundred feet high, so the views sprawl a wide area beyond the meandering river.. It is very well maintained, peaceful, and easy to reach off the from the palisade parkway. Plenty of parking, even on a weekend, holidays when we went there. No tickets, no parking charges. There are no restrooms or food options here."
