Overseen by the dedicated Club Arboretum Committee, which convenes on-site from March to October, the Arboretum boasts several highlights:
- The Bartke Grove: Established in 1992, this collection features Stellar dogwoods, 21 cultivars of hybrid andromeda, and other ornamental trees.
- Hansen Holly Grove: A 1999 collection of unique hardy hollies.
- Janet Van Gelder Bird Garden: Developed between 2002-2006, this interactive Bird Identification Center includes a granite bird bath, bird feeders, and bird-friendly plantings.
- South End Project: Spanning 2000-2008, this area includes themed gardens such as Four Seasons, Deer Resistant, Butterfly, Children’s, and Vertical Gardens.
- Ed’s Garden Railroad: Established in 2008, this feature includes solar-powered tracks for G-gauge model trains.
- Propagation Garden: Since 2010, this garden has been used to propagate plants for the annual plant sale.
The Davies Wildlife Preserve, initiated in 1988, encompasses the remaining 11 acres. Preserved in its natural state, this area features a network of trails perfect for nature walks and wildlife sightings, offering a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts.
