"Buses from this facility (out of service, without passengers) constantly pass through the Sharrotts rd section between Veterans Rd.W and Arthur Kill rd. It is a small narrow street without sidewalks, with hundred-year-old private houses. Giant buses passing within inches of the hoods of a cars parked in driveways. Sharrots Rd in this part of the street runs along the Clay Pit Ponds State Park, literally cutting through this State Park. These buses run over wild and domestic animals. On this street you can often see deers, raccoons, possums, turtles, foxes, rabbits, skunks, stray cats and other wild animals. Sometimes a domestic cat or dog runs away from someone. My neighbor was nearly killed by a drunk driver flying by this street. Why do we need giant buses on this narrow, quiet street without sidewalks, breaking trees on their way? I know that buses on Sharrods Rd are prohibited for bus drivers. My neighbors and I do not want to put up with your impudence. I have repeatedly stopped buses here and asked the drivers: "WAF?! According to your internal rules, you are not allowed to drive here." And usually in response, drivers behave very arrogantly and defiantly. My 6 year old grandson got into my car and walked around the front of the car. He was miraculously not killed by a passing truck - vehicles pass so close in front of our driveways. To your management: Stop through drives on this stretch of Sharrotts Rd! You have legally approved routes. Driving on this stretch of Sharrotts Rd is illegal! Don't make me and my neighbors file a lawsuit against the MTA for your connivance with unruly drivers. What are you waiting for? Do you want to eventually become the TV stars of city news? Or do you not appreciate the job's positions you hold? Don't make us force the issue. Just solve this problem yourself. I hope our voice has been heard."
