Reviews
"I am writing this review on behalf of my cousin who’s wedding rehearsal and wedding I attended 7 months ago. She is a devout young catholic, attends church every Sunday, and it was always her dream to get married in the catholic church. She is entirely too nice to make the truth public knowledge but after witnessing the disgraceful way she was disrespected by Tom Collins and how she was taken advantage of financially, I want to make the truth known so it doesn’t happen to any her bride. She also gave him ample opportunities to reimburse her and to apologize, but rather he continued to insult her via text message and knowing my cousin, she is EXTREMELY generous and got taken advantage of, ironically by a priest… Overall, disastrous experience. The officiant, Fr. Collins, was highly unprofessional. He consistently mispronounced the bride's name during the ceremony and made inappropriate comments, adding to her nervousness. The whole event was a humiliating nightmare. They generously hosted him, but nothing went as planned. No card or courtesy shown. hE EVEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY "STOP ASKING QUESTIONS." Can you imagine telling that to a person who is PAYING YOU BEFORE THEIR WEDDING. IS HE OUT OF HIS MIND? He made guests uncomfortable and lacked preparation. He ruined the bride's emotional state before and after the wedding. Despite this, he attended the reception without any apology or compensation. Very disappointing. Hope he doesn't ruin others' weddings. Avoid this officiant. My cousin, THE BRIDE, spent the entire night before her wedding and the morning of her wedding hysterically crying, anticipating a horrific ceremony, sermon, and ruined day, all because of what Tom had caused. She had cried every day since, overwhelmed with shame and humiliation, struggling to even get out of bed. The only reason she had gotten up was to apologize to her guests for the offensive remarks and complete disorganization, feeling responsible for Tom's actions. She expected him to feel the same responsibility. Despite the lackluster sermon and the episode during the rehearsal, Tom had the audacity to attend the rehearsal dinner and reception, even bringing a date along. He had the opportunity to apologize and reimburse the couple for the damage he caused, but he chose not to. It was disheartening to see that he didn't take responsibility for his actions and offer some form of compensation. She sincerely hoped that Tom wouldn't ruin anyone else's wedding like he did to theirs. It had taken a lot of consideration to write and send this review, but I see how this has deeply impacted my cousin and her husband as they are trying to save up the funds to get remarried (as many couples do, they spent their life savings on this wedding… which Collins destroyed for them. My cousin wanted Tom to apologize, reimburse her, and understand how his abrasive behavior impacted others in future engagements. Couples invest their life savings to create cherished memories, and his actions should not be taken lightly. She requested full reimbursement, at the very minimum but he continuously ignored her request time and time again. Not only did he not apologize to her, but he sent back a message continuing to insult her. He didn’t even know how to say her name? What gives him the right to judge others? Anyway, please pray for my cousin as she gets remarried this year. She is trying to not let it impact her, but every single day has had a tough time as she continues to recover, save money to get remarried, and find other vendors."
"Get your Jesus on! Very welcoming. You really feel the peace being with you!"
"I've been to this church on many occasions for family events such as Christenings, Communions, Confirmations and so on. It's a beautiful place. It's nice and bright. The parking is fantastic. The inside of the church is warm and comfortable. The priests give excellent sermons. They have senses of humor too. I've grown accustomed to seeing many families here over the years. If you're moving into the area and you need a parish, I would highly recommend it. God has blessed this parish wonderfully. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen."
"The church is very nice. However, there is a priest there (I believe he is Indian) whose sermons are the most boring to have to sit through. A homily should have some substance to it so that the parishioners can at least remember it and apply it to their daily lives throughout the week. The topics should pertain to all of us. However, Father's topics are too far a field and for the most part, don't seem to make any impression, at least they don't on me. Tell him to watch the portion of the movie "Doubt" where the priest gives a sermon on GOSSIP. Now, that's they type of sermon that the congregation can relate to."
