"This NYC subway station is very nice, but there is one very big problem with it. This subway station has 2 platforms that are above-ground, and another 2 are below ground. The problem is that the station does not have an elevator. This subway station serves as a stop for 3 different trains. 2 of these trains are located on the above-ground platforms, and 1 on the below-ground platforms. In this station, there are a TON of stairs, and it's almost impossible for those unfit to climb stairs to get to the top. Otherwise, the wait times are very good on the F and G trains, but not too good for the R train."
"The station is a classic cut and cover subway station with the road dug up and the tracks laid in a ditch followed by the road constructed above held up by steel beams. It's a fairly clean station. It seemed to me that it was a bit longer than the average station, but I may be mistaken. I liked that it wasn't too crowded! However, I didn't encounter a MetroCard machine when I entered the station going to 95th Street."
"This station has a interesting yet convenient catwalk when moving between platforms. The window view over the street is also interesting as well. Both G and F train stop here. Connection to R underground. Sheltered platform. Two bridges leg are here good statically and visual…."
"I have to transfer through this train station everyday so I might be biased against it. However, the F and G platform is outside which is freezing in the winter and scorching in the summer. The R platform is dimly lit, dirty and depressing. And between each platform is about 100 stairs, on which, nearly every person has to take a break at some point even when they're in decent shape."
"Clean- hit or miss F train comes around every 10 to 15 mins note 2017 F train do not stop at this stop on the weekend due to construction. Also no elevator. Can use this stop to connect to the r train."
