"Had a terrible experience here. Somebody was running to catch a train, they were pushed from behind by a train worker and a package fell out of their hands onto the tracks. Fireworks were in the package and they exploded, causing a scale to fall on my head!"
"This station is awash with an intense urine smell. As others have mentioned it’s not a place you want to end up in the underpass at night. It looks like something out of a movie. Most definitely not the best place to be. Pictures from the L Platform adjacent show you the station."
"If u are trapped on the L train side of the station, look for the hole in the ground at the small triangle intersection to your left. Beware, there is pee everywhere. The whole station is some sort of “pee sanctuary” or urine ritual site. Not big into pee magik, but there is definitely an eerie sense to the place."
"A real "stab and jab" looking station. To begin with no sign on the entrance telling you it's a station - just a hole in the ground. Like others noted the tunnel to the track is a dark wet pee smelling adventure. It was raining when I went and the pee was still overpowering- so hold your breath and review your jujitsu before heading down. Once in the platform you will notice there are no signs - except the wooden station sing that has been torn in half to reveal a jagged edge. I was actually compelled to take a look over in the tracks to make sure that I hadn't stumbled onto a decommissioned station. What is crazy is that although the station has to be one of the worst in NYC the train that came included comfy padded seats and a ticket taker dressed in old school 1950s train attire.I would argue that the community around this station deserves better."
"Pretty nice station located under Atlantic avenue, and next to a run down elevated station that's served by the L train. The underpass can be a tad sketchy at night."
