"Cleaner station. No homeless seen. No police presence noted. Ticket machine available"
"Classic NYC subway station :-)"
"Being a resident of Staten Island, after getting off and departing the Staten Island Ferry at the Whitehall St/South Ferry terminal/train stations, I am given a choice to get to 33rd or 34th St of taking the 1 train at South ferry, which is a local train making every local stop, the R train at Whitehall St which is also a local train making every stop, or, I can walk up 2 and a half blocks to the Bowling Green 4 and 5 train station location. There I can board an uptown 4 train only (5 train is always express and always skips 33rd st) and take it to 33rd st. Although it is an express also during peak hours, it still stops at this location, and if it doesn't, then you can transfer to any 6 train on any stop at or after Brooklyn bridge/city hall. That is best option, better then taking 1 or R trains defiantly. 5 stars"
"Nothing to write home about. Clean for the most part. Gets very crowded if there is a delay. Plenty of young adults acting out at this station, after school. Need more police . Plenty of fare beaters. On a rainy day station is flooded. That's sums up this MTA station."
"Frequent train service at all times, especially during rush hour(s). Front of uptown and back of downtown platform are very deep due to the Park Avenue Tunnel right next to the station. Very humid during warmer months. Not ADA complaint."
