"Used to live here a long long time ago mid 60s.The laundermat in the corner was a bank in the old days, who remenbers the ART Theater down the block"
"I use to take the 2 or 5 train to 811X when I was living in the Bronx at the time. I get off their and walk straight ahead to my school. This was a very great location."
"I have more problems in the city with other trains than my area. I'm always ready with my metro card I buy it at which ever station is available at the time, you have to think and plan ahead."
"The steps around the station needs constant cleaning & patrol. Not an exaggeration. The many people who hang around during the afternoon hours is wilin, especially those who are asking for 50¢. The area is constantly messy & when it does get cleaned, its messy a week later & you can't make it up. I resided in the Bx for 2 years literally a block away. Somehow the platform manages to stay relatively clean."
"mta is playing games with their customers. they dont care about the speed and punctuality of their service. they always brush it off with the..."we r experiencing some heavy traffic" or "delays" or "and earlier incident" i dont care, you are paid and want to charge more money for the service and for construction that never happens... someone is proba bly pocketing the money. the service, as it is in other cities, should be fast, punctual and be able to move everyone to their jobs ontime. they, instead, think... "well, as long as we get the job done..." you should be willing to be the best in the world and make it happen. it sounds to me like a combination of lazyness, not wanting to advance, unwillingness a "do the minimum job and get paid"... and corruption. whats gonna happen when the city grow even more? think now and do now.... otherwise the system is already getting obsolete and you are going to have a way bigger problem in the near future when there is too many people. more than the mta can handle... wake up! i know is hard and u do a good job at keeping it working. but its not enough. put the money that you get, to use instead of in your pockets. also if one of those elevated trains is not revised and retrofitted constantly enough. one day will have a train fall down or something(God Forbid!) and then you will have a big problem. dont wait until things happen. be ahead. thanks for reading."
