Reviews
"A bit off the beaten path, however it is a very nicely serviced station. The tracks seem periously close to the water. This is a bit concerning considering the Hudson and Harlem Rivers adjacent are tidal rivers. If you didn't know any better you wouldn't know that the green island across the river is Manhattan. It is stunningly beautiful here."
"Metro North train station with limited parking, but free. Station is right on the water, so nice to see at & watch trains pass. No elevators, so for trains heading to NYC, stairs only. No bathrooms. Steep hills to get to station."
"Great little picturesque train station underneath the Henry Hudson Bridge, about 22 minutes to Grand Central Terminal. Full-size northbound platform, but no elevators, restrooms or river access."
"Very picturesque train station with views of Manhattan, New Jersey and the Bronx, especially the Amtrak bridge and it's underneath the Henry Hudson Bridge. Lots of trains to choose from (every 25 minutes peak, at least every hour off peak). Unfortunately, there are a lot of steps and it's not accessible to wheel chairs or similar."
"Very nice, pleasant station. it's on the Harlem River canal (or whatever you call the artificial cut connecting the Harlem River and the Hudson River), right off the Hudson river, across the river from the hills of Inwood Hill Park. So, it's all views of water and natural areas, with the Henry Hudson Bridge very, very nearby. To get there, you have to walk down a staircase, go down a short hill and over a short bridge. As it's isolated, and adjacent to a natural area/park, this may be of interest if you are using it when it's dark, although I haven't heard of any problems. A most pleasant train station, even if you're not taking the train."
