"I grew up with these tunnels. The hikes are easy trails if you know your way around. The tunnels themselves are freakier as I get older. I do not recommend going in the tunnels not because they aren't structurally sound (they're not) but because there are the largest colonies of cave crickets you ever find in those tunnels. It's the stuff of nightmares. The graffiti has gone from rude tagging to straight-up graffiti art. Every time I'm there, there's some new mural to admire. Unfortunately, there are new bike trails that got me turned around even after hiking here for years. The trails need to be marked better, official trails or not."
"Paths ways to the hotspot might get difficulty with plants and grass not mowed down in the summer bring boots. Cool place to see graffiti and art and other Easter eggs"
"A beautiful desolate location with some nifty history. I wouldn't presume it to be haunted or inhabited by cults like some stories suggest but you can get really close to deer and the tunnels are everywhere...each time I go I find new ones, just follow the spray paint and arrows. Definitely worth the trick and the wolf spiders are huge but certainly won't harm you. Now the cave crickets can freak people out but even though they are huge they harmless as well! There is parking on North Greenbush Road, just leave before sunset!"
"It is a beautiful place to take photos although it is a bit scary because it is abandoned there are many graffiti that gives it a cool touch, the place has a lot of history"
"Very cool find, a little difficult to get to if you don't know where you're going because the GPS takes you to a residential area, I literally used my GPS to walk through the woods behind the houses and off the walking path to get to the tunnels."
