"Very cool glacial erratic to check out on a hike in Rockefeller State Park. Not so easy to find but just follow the Google map. It was fascinating for my kid and I to learn that this huge rock was transported here on glacial ice long time ago! It felt like a small geological discovery for us. Highly recommend it for anyone, including sparking kids' interest in science."

"I was skeptical about what I was going to experience but this rock proved me wrong. Photos don’t even do justice of how magnificent this erratic is. This is probably the best around in the area if not in entire hudson river valley. My girlfriend and I loved it and she wasn’t even angry after walking a mile on heels. Legends says it is used for rituals during 18th century but I didn’t confirm with the locals. 10/10 totally recommend it."

"Part of Rockefeller Preserve. Hidden from main trails but accessible via trial map available on site, and this map location is accurate. Historical info on signpost"

"Very cool spot to check out if you're in the area! The rock was way bigger than pictures give credit for! Don't forget to read the sign to learn about it! There is a parking fee for the park (Rockefeller State Park Preserve), but if you come after 4:30 or 5pm (can't remember which) it's free!!"
