About the Business
Welcome to Memorial - Wielgus Field, the heart of youth baseball and softball in Cranford, New Jersey. Located on Centennial Avenue, our field is home to the Cranford Baseball & Softball League (CBSL), a beloved local institution since 1956. CBSL is dedicated to nurturing the talents and sportsmanship of young athletes aged five to 15 through our comprehensive spring, summer, and fall programs.
This past summer was one of our most successful yet, thanks to the incredible dedication of our coaches and volunteers. Their hard work and passion have made our program truly special, culminating in an exciting victory where our team clinched their second consecutive Region Title with a thrilling 13-10 win over the Nor Gwyn Hawks in Cherry Hill.
At CBSL, we prioritize teaching the fundamentals of baseball and softball while fostering an environment that emphasizes fair play, fun, and teamwork. We invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of youth sports at Memorial - Wielgus Field, where future champions are made and lifelong friendships are formed. "I go to this park all the time to do dips, walk the track and run the stairs. It's a wonderful park with a pool nearby."
"Some of the side field are in good shape, but the Football Field turf has seen its day. The track is horrible, not sure how they even have meets here. It gets flooded in areas after rain and the track has suffered some serious damage."

"Nice field, it has artificial turf. No bleachers for the audience if your child is playing soccer and they don't allow your pet. There is no score board so you have to pay attention to the game."
