"Some of the men at the front desk at this location are discriminatory and abusive towards non-white clients, including a black guy named Robert Johnson. I thought I was the only one complaining about being yelled at, spoken to like I was being arrested, intimidated, and having to go through hoops to prove I belonged there. But I ended up speaking to three other clients and one STAFF MEMBER who also had the same problem with the same people. This has been going on for over a year and a half now, and numerous complaints have gotten nowhere. As such I will never patronize Equinox again and I encourage everyone to do the same. You should also read the other 1 star reviews for this location: even more people have the same complaints as me and about some of the same people. I tend to think their business is doing bad regardless given the poor state of their facilities across NYC. A friend of mine who went to a location downtown said the showers were broken for months."

"Overall, Equinox attends to a certain clientele who appreciates loud, noisy techno/rap music and a "trendy" atmosphere. It is more about "see and bee seen"" than about the level os attention dedicated to patrons by staff. I definitely decided never to go there again after the blasé receptionist with a "I-could-not-care-less-attitude" told me that a DAILY pass to use the gym for about an hour would cost US$ 75. Are you guys crazy? Or are you extremely selective about avoiding daily customers by charging an unreal exorbitant fee? I did not feel welcome and I do not recommend it."

"Nice gym , pretty big too Sauna is good as well and steam but they always change the lights it supposed to be a relaxing time for members now it they put this huge “concert” lights even if you close your eyes you still have this brightness in your eyes … besides that all ok"

"One of my favorite locations. I go early and it’s never too packed. I noticed so many equinox gyms don’t have much natural light so it’s nice to be in a place with lots of windows. The showers and steam rooms are very spacious, and there’s a food court, too! No tik tokers in there, either so it’s good to be in a room with serious lifters."
