"Bad management. Management will scam you and run your credit card. Pushy Sales tactics, lie to you, send you to the ER, steal your money, and then ghost you. I have easily spent thousands at your club every month and in return, your employees reply with "We have your card on file" and generously tip themselves with my card. Lied to my face sent me to the ER and left me with hospital bills. I could have gotten an Uber instead of a multiple thousand-dollar emergency bill. I don't want to return to your club. I would only never go to Hudson Yards at this point. I have said positive things in the past and said I loved it. I tried communicating since October of last year. You have wasted so much of my time and money. All of my sessions were pulled after I was hurt and I specifically said not to. Corporate and individual greed. Management doesn't want to help and Emma ghosted me. It ends up being a spam email from Renne Moore telling me to make up my sessions at sports club before they "expire". This was right after Christmas, right after needing surgery after the incident. I tried to not be negative after the incident and to try and enjoy the holidays. I have all of the emails."
"I have been a dedicated Equinox member for years, mainly frequenting the UWS locations. However, I recently visited the East 63rd location while on the UES and was pleasantly surprised. It felt like a hidden gem to me, as I usually don't venture across the park. I have already recommended this location to my friends in the area. The gym is clean, spacious, and well laid out, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall, a fantastic experience!"
"My friend asked me if I can join him to the gym. He told me this was his favorite gym, so I tried it out. When we got there, everything was fine. We was greeted at the front desk very nicely. We were working out together. Until it seemed like a manager....it was woman with a mole on her face said we couldn't talk or work out together. I could understand if he was training me and getting paid for his service. This was not the case. This was simply two friends working out together. This made us both upset. I like this gym until this person approached us. I would have joined but she was so rude to us. The way she looked at me in disgust. I don't know. I had a bad feeling from the beginning from this one person alone. Everyone else was fine. I've never ever seen my friend get upset...ever! This woman really ruined his entire night."
"Thank you Gabby for making me a member at Equinox! I joined Equinox 2016 in a Printing house but I left due to changing my home address. I walked in 63st location and I met Gabby, she showed me around, very professional and friendly! Truly perfect person for sales, who knows how to follow up with her clients and bring the business to the company! She introduced me to her manager who was extremely nice! They really motivated me to be a member there! I love the classes, everything is very well maintained, clean and the service is extremely nice! Thank you and I will highly recommend to my friends and family! Thanks Ana"
"I slipped and fell on a wet floor leading into the men's locker room. A worker had been cleaning the floor, which was slippery from water and soap. He was around the corner and not visible from where I slipped. When he saw that I fell, he merely pointed to the "Wet Floor" sign (which also was not visible from where I was walking), turned away and continued cleaning. He showed no concern and did not ask whether I was ok. (Other members have posted complaints about how nasty the locker room attendants in this club are). I communicated what happened to an assistant manager, who assured me I would hear from the manager the next day. I also communicated to her that the walls in the pool area are often crawling with bugs, which other members have also noticed. I used to give the club 5-star reviews but now I question what value Equinox provides for the $300 a month membership fee they charge."
