Reviews
"Honestly, this is the best La Fitness I've been to after trying out many locations. Yuli, in particular, provided the most exceptional experience when I signed up for the gym membership."
"I moved to the area from another LA Fitness down the shore. First impression is that it's clean and new, but the open workout area is TINY. Signed up for personal training and had a horrible experience with the first one. Called corporate to have an upgrade to a Certified Trainer and recently started with a new guy who is chill. That said, the whirlpool has NEVER worked in the past **SIX ** months and they have a paper sign placed on top of the button saying it's going to be fixed. It's summertime now, but that jacuzzi would have been helpful in the colder months. Also, what others have said is the pool temperature is cold, and even the showers don't get hot enough. Someone needs to fix the boiler. Last but not least, there have been reports of theft in the locker rooms. I had put my items in a locker, but after a workout, took my sneakers off and left them by my locker to take a shower. When I got back out of the shower, they were STOLEN and gone missing. I noticed everyone using locks, which is very unusual for other LA Fitness branches, where an atmosphere of trust exists. I was suggested to file a police report, because this has been an ongoing problem at this location, and I'd like to get a list of all female checkins 1hour before I arrived to ask if anyone mistakenly took it. But I have very small size feet, so I can only imagine they're going to eBay them as it was a fairly expensive brand and in new condition."
"Imagine walking into a gym with 3 people at the front desk 1 with their head down in on their phone, 2 engaging in conversation. I bothered to say good morning and received no response as I was self scanning the barcode on my phone. What I did hear was “they’re fyckn immigrants”. I can’t be upset, what do I expect from someone that sits at a front desk and does nothing all day while making a peanut salary. This is one of the reason robots are replacing people in meaningless positions. The gym overall is nice, new however very small."
"Soon it'll be a year, since it's been in the town.. Fairly big. Plenty of machines. So far no complaints. Always clean. Very professional. I run the Bayonne Chess Society & Club. We usually have flyers by the front desk. We've had gym members join, as they recognize they can not only exercise their bodies, but they can work out their minds to by playing chess. We also have a Boardgame Division. We play in different venues throughout Bayonne. Members can find our events going on somewhere pretty much every day during the week. We play at Joe's Pizza, Chubby's Sports Bar and Grill, The Vic, Houlihan's, Bayown's Vendor Mart, Bruno's Pizzeria, Cafe 26. Have other venues in the pipeline. So, if you're interested in L.A. Fitness, I highly recommend the gym. But, your body comes with a mind. So, workout your mind with some chess. We have over 350 adult members. No clue how many kids. All skill levels. We have National Masters and a world renowned FIDE Master Look us up on Facebook or Meetup. We're The Bayonne Chess Society & Club. See you at the gym or over the board."
"I honestly don’t understand how LA Fitness staffs their facilities. Management is supposed to accomandate to the customer not the other way around. After all let’s not forget the reason why you have a job and eat is because of the customers. Additionally, this specific facility is too new to be experiencing the sauna breaking down every other week. Thursday, 03/28/24 @ 10:24 pm"
