"This blink has a lot of work to do with the people they hire to work the front desk and roam the floors. i believe a gym should b a safe, NON-RACIST, and welcoming community that allows to distress and stay in shape. It is very important that the owner discuss and trains the staff to understand that us, Blink members, are not at the mercy of their emotions because some of the workers believe they owns us and can talk to us any way to sit fits, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR SKIN IS DARKER THAN THE AVERAGE HISPANIC PERSON. You continuously get threatened to have your membership canceled just because the staff believe they have some type of power over you. most of us come to gym to escape from everything we deal with on a daily, but the staff at the Macombs gym make it the gym a very hostile environment for some of us, especially black and darker skin gym members. Not only have i been at the mercy of their bad humors but i have witnessed many friends also be victim of the disrespect the staff imposes on us. Getting yelled at in a place you pay a premium membership to experience should not b a norm, but the staff at this gym has definitely developed a habit at making your workout a terrible experience even when you ignore them and their hostility. It’s IMPERATIVE that the staff learns that they are at the gym to assist u and make our experience pleasurable. they are not our parents, nor they are owners of us. IT IS VERY TIRING TO HAVE TO KEEP DEALING WITH EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF WHO CONTINUOUSLY THREATENS AND YELL AT YOU. Dear Owner of Macomb’s Blink, i know you have seen enough of these type of reviews, please allow some type of training for your staff so they can u understand that if they cannot make our gym experience fun, they should leave us alone, and not make it a living hell for us. IT IS NOT OKAY FOR THEM TO THREATEN TO CANCEL OUR MEMBERSHIP because we do not execute something THEY ORDERED YOU TO DO! i believe They are the gym for us, and not the other way around. Please correct me if i’m wrong so i can understand whether such behavior is instilled in them from management."
