"Today I received a text message from Lisa at Forward Storage saying my money order payment was received. I asked if there was a late charge because it came in technically one day late however I mailed it on the 1st and I had texted a picture to let them know I mailed the payment. I said it wasn't my fault the postal service took so long to deliver the payment. Lisa suggested I set up auto pay and take the worry of possible late charge to not be an issue. I told her my concerns of doing that because I've had my credit card compromised two times in the strangest way. Once I paid for gas at the cashier inside the store when I lived in CA at the credit card machine and the next day people were buying things in Poland the fraud department caught it and called me to verify I wasn't in Poland. Another time I was on lunch break at a restaurant and when I went to pay my bill my card was frozen I called the fraud department and they told me my card was being used at Walmart for over $300 a few cities away and so they froze my card. When you have crazy things like that happen you realize mailing a money order is a safer way. I can't be responsible for the slow postal system though. Anyway, I had just gotten a new credit card and not missing the irony of the situation I let Lisa assist me in signing up for auto pay and we charged the card for May to make sure there were no issues. The charge was accepted no problem and I'm crossing fingers that going forward payments will be done on time. Adulting is no joke and I'm happy Forward Storage has Lisa on board who is kind and friendly and professional and has great customer service skills and she made me feel heard and gently walked me through the process of setting up my auto pay account and put my mind at ease that future payments will automatically be charged. "In I think September when Hamlin Self Storage became Forward Storage, it was great. We had been informed that there was a new auto pay that would be put in place and keeping the same price! One less thing to worry about each month. The month following is when the first charge of 9$ was tacked on for each payment for "store local". Picking a local place to store my house hold items was the wrong choice? I don't understand the reasoning behind it other than to screw over customers. Coming up on March now where the price will be increased yet again to 190 from the original 145. After calling and asking why the price had jumped yet again it was very frustrating. I had asked the gentleman for some kind of reasoning but he kept telling me "The price had been for the hamlin units went up". He couldn't tell me who knew why it went up, where they were based out of, or what the "store local" was. The following week I went to start pulling my stuff out of the unit only to find they had put an extra lock on it. When I called asking why the other lock was on there they said it was due to not paying for the month. So much for the auto pay. The only thing that was good that forward Storage was bringing to the table and it was just as trash as thier customers service. The lady I was speaking with told me that it would take another 20-30 mins before some can come take a look. Which is when they told me they didn't charge me for the current month of February. Not while she was  looking at the computer. Trash people to work with. There is a gentleman that sells containers out of Covington. Chris lists them on marketplace and will drop it off for local. With a price of 190$ each month and going up I'm sure the container is basically free by the end of the year. Leave now and save yourself the trouble."

"We were pleased with our 2 years of having our storage unit. It was clean, dry and moisture free. When we removed our items after 2 years there was no damage to them, no odor from being stored. And the best thing, no mice!!!"
