"Dr Langone is the best. I had a lymphoma on my foot as big as an egg. She sent me to the correct doctor in Stony Brook Also she gave me the correct orthotics. She told me where to go to get new sneakers for my post surgery. I went today and was fitted perfectly and my scar doesn't hurt at all wearing them. The staff is as friendly as Dr. Langone"

However that’s not the case for me, as I was involved in a no fault/hit and run accident and most offices are accommodating when I offer an explanation. Not Dr Langone’s! No sympathy for victims from this office."

"Don’t walk away , RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Scheduled an appointment for my 14 yo child who was complaining of repeated irritation and pain around his big toe. Thinking that he may need a prescription or a treatment to help reduce the pain and deal with possible infection, we came to see Dr. Langone who has treated another family member in the past. However when we came in and were led to a treatment room, there was an unpleasant surprise waiting for us- Dr. Langone wasn’t there as apparently “She doesn’t do nails anymore”. I guess that would have been ok, except that the gentleman that approached my son, did not have an appearance or professionalism that one would expect from a doctor. Stained scrubs and unkept appearance was an immediate turned off - my initial impression was that it was a janitor who came in to take out the garbage, so you can imagine my surprise when he started looking at my son’s toe and quickly without much explanation informed me that he will remove the ingrown nail … WHAAAT???? How about first explaining exactly what my son’s condition was, it’s cause and possible treatment options besides what sounded like a painful surgery with extensive recovery? I guess that was too much extra effort - just like putting on clean pair of scrubs ? Anyway, after the initial shock and in attempt to not have completely wasted an hour of my time. I asked the “doctor” to explain the procedure in details and provide alternative treatment options. After that I politely informed him that we will think about it and make a decision when ready. And so we left to go home and do salt water soaks as that was the only other alternative option provided!!! However I was happy to leave and go do so - for the first time in my life I thought it was worth to pay $50 copay TO NOT BE TRATED FOR A PROBLEM I CAME IN WITH!! Dr. Langone, as a medical professional myself, I think it’s worth remembering that it is still your name on the door,and even if you “DONT DO NAILS ANYMORE” you are still in charge of what is happening in YOUR practice and maybe it’s not a bad idea to set standards for your associates that see patients under YOUR practice name ."
