"If I could give more than 5 stars to Dr. David Ackerman and his team, I would. I literally crawled into Commack Disc Centers of America, crying and in absolute agony. The office was buzzing with activity--many patients and staff. I said to my husband, they must be doing something right in here. I was greeted immediately with ice and kindness by people who clearly understood the excruciating pain I was experiencing. I am a 62-year old highly active person, who went from working out every day--running, walking, weight lifting, skiing, hiking, swimming--to lying on the floor unable to move or do any type of self care. My world stopped. I was unable to work, care for my family and grandchildren, among other activities I enjoy so much. 8 weeks later, I am walking 2. 5 miles without pain and "back" to many of my usual enjoyments. "For anyone wondering if they should come into disc center of America. I personally highly recommend it. For so long pushing off lower back pain as a gym related injury I found doing everyday tasks getting progressively worse. I have tried a variety of treatment such as Physical therapy, trigger point injections, massages, and nearly getting medication to bare the pain. None of them compare or have worked nearly as efficient as Dr Ackermans spine decompression therapy and formulated recovery program.
