"First off, Dr. Lown is a good guy. That’s where the good part ends. The doctor is listed on my insurance as an in-network physician. I was told at the office, they accepted my insurance. They took my insurance card and made a copy. Then the bill came. $400 charge with no explanation. I called and sent a picture of my insurance card again to the billing coordinator. Still got the same bill weeks later. Went to the office and gave them my insurance card again. They said it was already on file, but they made a copy again. Weeks later, same bill. When I contacted billing support, they claimed my insurance denied the claim and to check my EOB. It states no attempts were made to bill through insurance. I don’t know if it’s the office or a third party billing service. Regardless, this is the 3rd month of trying to correct the issue respectfully. Now I have lost patience and refuse to communicate with anyone from this office. I highly recommend going to a more competent health provider that won’t waste your time and try to erroneously bill you for a quick buck."

"My purpose in writing this review is not to complain about the medical care my family and I received. I have no problems with the actual doctors, other than they are extremely lacking in bedside manner. My problems lie with the office staff and how the office itself is run. When you call the office, the first thing you hear is a litany of office rules - this office is closed for lunch between the hours of 12 and 1 for lunch, our phone hours end at three, don't leave a message on this machine. Really? I can't speak to anyone after 3pm? What if I don't get sick on your timetable? And then I'm not allowed to leave a message? What kind of service is that? When and if you manage to get someone on the phone and secure an appointment, the office staff is extremely rude when you go in. They are actually downright nasty. My husband had some tests done and he called in for the results. First of all, they want you to come in for another appointment to get test results, so they can receive another co-pay. He said no, he wanted his results over the phone, and they told him they weren't available yet. He called every day for a few days and he got a different answer every time he called. Finally, the doctor himself called us, not to give us the results, but to ask my husband why he was harassing the office staff! Incredible! We never did get those test results, by the way. Finally, we got a bill for services from the office, even though the practice is an in-network physician for our insurance company. So why the blill? One of the tests he had done in house was performed by someone who wasn't covered by our insurance. My husband asked if they accepted out plan and was told yes, he did. There was no way to check this right then as they were already performing the test. It's not that big of a bill but I will fight it all the way. The straw that broke the camel's back with me and caused me to post this review was that today I tried to call and discuss the bill. It wasn't lunchtime, the phones hadn't closed for the day and the office was open. But I had to leave a message with reception. I'm so done."
