"I was impressed with customer service from the front desk Staff Mr.J (Puerto Rican Man). He was flexible with my family and even upgraded our room when checked in late night. Room was amazing, very Clean and everything was perfect. Can't wait to visit again."
"Worst experience ever in my 50+ years of travel. Highly suggest anyone thinking about booking here...DONT. It is a joke. No staff to speak of, rooms never cleaned unless you go raise your voice, then iffy. Breakfast...NOT....hard boiled eggs tossed in steam tray..... Booked suite with cooktop...no utensils, pot or pan or anything to use to prepare food, so waste of money unless you want to go buy your cookware. Internet a nightmare. Never anybody at front desk. Toilet in our suite was only 12 inches off floor. Hard to sit on. Water pressure about 0 and flow about the same.....could go on but if you don't get the picture by now you are doomed."
"When you first pull in, it looks like it's closed down due to the closed restaurant in front and overgrown weeds. The front desk was nice and helpful. Disappointed in the room fridge was filthy did not notice till settled in. Offered to switch our room, but we declined."
"It was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon arrival, I was shocked by the filthy conditions of the room. The bed sheets were stained, covered in hair, and had visible spots of blood. The carpet was equally appalling, littered with animal hair and other debris. The water pressure in the bathroom was pitiful, and the tap was so faulty that water splashed all over the countertop whenever it was turned on. To make matters worse, the room was infested with bugs. When I approached the front desk to address these issues, the host responded with a shocking display of rudeness. He offered another room, but it was just as filthy as the first. Visible hairs were scattered across the bedsheets, and the same level of dirt was evident everywhere. When I informed the host that the second room was equally unacceptable, he became even more agitated and accused us of "messing up" both rooms, refusing to provide another option. This was incredibly stressful, especially after a long day of driving with an early flight to catch the next morning. At 2 AM, we decided we couldn't stay another minute and left the hotel. The host refused to refund our payment, adding to the overall horrible experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs! It's the worst place I've ever stayed, with dreadful customer service and unbelievably filthy conditions."
"I am currently staying at Candlewood Suites due to an unpleasant experience at Comfort Inn Apalachin. We had reserved a two-night stay at Comfort Inn. Upon arrival, the exterior of the hotel appeared satisfactory, although the yard was overgrown. The reception staff was courteous, and the customer service was commendable. However, as we proceeded to our room, I noticed noticeable stains on the floor and an unpleasant odor emanating from the cleaning room. Our room, number 106, had a strong smell of mildew. Consequently, I returned to the front desk and spoke with the receptionist, expressing our desire to pay for only one night and cancel the second night. The receptionist consulted with the owner, who informed us that the two-night stay was a special offer. I agreed to pay the full price for the one night and cancel the next. Regrettably, the owner was unwilling to accommodate our request in any way. Subsequently, I contacted my credit card company. They advised me to dispute the payment and request a refund. I am perplexed as to why the owner was unwilling to cooperate, as this reflects poorly on their customer service. Presently, I am comfortably settled at Candlewood Suites, where the rooms are of superior quality. Lastly, if you have read this far, I would like to mention that I am sensitive to the smell of bed head on pillows. In this case, the odor was particularly strong."
