"I am very unhappy with this place because I was misled that this was an in network provider. When I made the appointment and while I was at the doctor's for my primary care visit, no one told me that I was seeing an out of network provider. I also paid the $25 copay further believing that they took my insurance. Why ask for my insurance card when you are not an in network provider? I could have gone somewhere else...I have a buttload of providers to choose from, so I went to this place. Now I am dealing with a bill from my insurance because this place is out of network, causing me more stress and worry. I would not go to this place if I were you, like the other reviewer they were hit with a bill without their knowledge. These people have no consideration of other people's time and money, they don't care if they bill you without your consent. Every single charge that would not be covered by insurance should be mentioned! There should be a little check list while talking to patients. "Did you disclose that they are in/out of network provider?" CHECK, "Did you disclose that they will have an extra procedure which could lead to a medical bill?" CHECK."
"Had a wonderful visit with Dr. B - I dropped some serious news about my prognosis and she handled it so professionally, with a kind and sincere patience and compassion. Giving me plenty of time to ask questions and she made so many helpful suggestions. A wonderful doctor any patient would be lucky to have."
"Edit: My review stands for the staff and the doctor but unfortunately we will not be going back because the billing is a nightmare and routine blood work like I've done dozens of times at other offices should not cost over $1,000 for myself and my husband. They were kind and waved it after numerous emails and phone calls but still...it's incredibly stressful and such a hassle. I mainly have specialists/surgeons that I frequently see but haven't had a GP in years so did a little research and made an appointment for both my husband and myself. The office is clean and spacious, the staff is lovely and caring, and Dr Shokry is wonderful. He took the time to listen to my concerns and go over my history (which is very lengthy!) and seemed to genuinely care. I didn't feel rushed and left the appointment with positive feelings about everything. Anyone who needs to go to the doctor knows how difficult it is to not only find a good one, but one with good bedside manners as well and I believe I found both with Dr Shokry."
"Went in for an annual physical, where the doctor here ended up giving me blood work outside the scope of the annual physical without my knowledge and as a result I now have to deal with a headache of a bill. When I fought this, they gave a weak excuse of how "they do this to everyone" even though it's not a part of the annual physical. They told me to send over the bill and they'd "see what they can do" before they proceeded to ghost me. It's certainly not ethical to add in these things without telling the patient, nor would you even know this is happening, so you wouldn't be able to tell them not to do this blood work. If possible, avoid this place, it should not be your job to keep your head on a swivel to avoid paying for additional items."
