"When you call your doctor after you have been a long time patient with a personal and slightly embarrassing problem and they tell you they can’t squeeze you in go to urgent care…who needs this! Why call yourself family medicine. Drop the word family! Not family minded at all."
"Think twice before you go here. VERY hard to get a copy of your medical records if you decide to leave the practice. It took me over a month. Countless phone calls and emails just to Obtain my own child’s medical records. Since Dr Kostek left the practice has gone downhill fast"
"Missing Dr. Kostek. Been trying to get a coding issue resolved since November and keep getting the run around. Office sent me to billing, billing sent me to the office. Not sure if they know who does what over there but it’s been hell trying to get this sorted between Quest, my insurance and the office. I’ve spent 8+ lunch hours trying to get this resolved and I’ve gotten no where. No one calls back, I have to explain everything all over again each time I call. Called the office for an update today and they say no one’s looked at it. This could be resolved in 5 minutes if they would just take the time to look at. Looks like an issue that would take five minutes to fix is going to take five months. Thought I would stay with the office once Dr. Kostek left but realizing the responsiveness and care I experienced at Village Family Medical in the past was due to him, now that he’s gone the experience has been horrible. UPDATE: I’m posting the screen shot of my original review from 3 months ago just to say the issue has still not been resolved. If you can avoid going here I would."
"Intentionally and deliberately misuse of billing codes: The office, the billing department, and the physician are stealing money from patients. They report wrong medical code to the health insurance, Cigna, avoiding the correct process code so that they can charge extra money and copay from their patient. This is caught by me and Cigna! Do not believe that they welcome communication. To be able to catch their wrongdoings, collect evidence, cost me and my family so much time in phone calls (which they don’t pick up), chat online. Instead of correcting their mistake, they keep wrongful business. HVP vaccination is completed covered by my insurance and most of plan. Guess what. For preventive shot such as HVP, 90651 – HPV, should be processed, while they lied on the medical bill and reported it as 96372--THERPROPHYDIAG injection, so they can charge patients. They are also vengeful people who were caught on cheating and lying on their bill! What a disgraceful clinic to do horrible business. Be prepared to wait for at least half hour for any appointment every time, even for just the second shot of the Vaccine."
"Youn Cho, APN. It is very unfortunate and discouraging, knowing that I'm calling to speak with my physician on a virtual call in regards to a particular situation that you’re dealing with and for her to have the audacity to not know the follow-up of a neurologist referral, but expecting me to give her the results and keep asking what I want her to do!!! That’s the nerve And not seeing how as a patient makes you take a step back because it’s about me the whole year. Yes, as the patient I should be able to remember the results, but I gave in the paperwork And I do not remember the precise location. So for her to slam and throw her headphones off her ears because I’m frustrated as a patient that she does not know my testing is disgusting!! I’m hurting Because I’m not used to this kind of treatment from a physician, I’m used to them making it their diligence to get the results through whomever the referral was sent to and find other ways to resolve the situation. This has me taken back and I might have to reevaluate a better caring physician!!"
