Reviews
"I had an inguinal hernia operation. The entire team, starting with Dr Ginzalez, his office (all) staff (Nancy), and the hospital crew all were: informative, pleasant, and thorough. They kept a lighthearted atmosphere. The Dr puts a smile on the circumstances. He has the touch, makes one smile, and puts one at ease. I'm grateful I was in their care. I felt safe and well cared for. Many thanks to all of you for the professionalism you demonstrated."
"Michelle Diaz, I did reach out years ago. I sent a letter detailing my concerns about Dr. Gonzalez, but never received a reply. My experience with Dr. Gonzalez remains the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He delivered a cancer diagnosis in the most unsympathetic way possible. With a big smile and an upbeat tone, he announced, "The results indicate that it's cancer!" He then chastised me when I started to cry. How can a doctor behave in this manner? When I returned to have my stitches removed, a medical student was with him. This time he expressed "concern," but it was clear that this "concern" was for the medical student's benefit alone. I wish I had had the courage that day to tell the medical student that Dr. Gonzalez's "caring" behavior was totally disingenuous. I would have advised the student to ensure that he learn how to deliver negative information to patients in a compassionate manner. I would also have advised him to learn from Dr. Gonzalez's poor example so that he could become a doctor free from arrogance and self-importance. I regret my inaction that day. I hope that medical student was wise enough to see his mentor's flaws and to realize how to use his experience to become a better physician. I also hope other patients are spared and have been spared, my experience."
"Dr. Gonzalez and his team work excellent together. I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Gonzalez's bedside manner is phenomenal. Dr. Gonzalez, the anesthesiologist and the nurses were all very kind and checked up on me often after the surgery . My scars are very tiny and on my side and my belly button. I could sleep comfortably after 5 days and felt like I could drive after 2 weeks. I am eternally greatful! Thank you, Dr. Gonzalez."
"Dr Gonzalez operated on my uncle two weeks ago, he may be a great surgeon I don't know. I have called his office 2 times to speak to him as per my aunt's instructions, the second time I was a little annoy and I let the girl who answered the phone know. She instead of apologizing for the doctors lack of concern, she yelled back at me saying the he had indeed received the message. I proceeded to leave another message. That was 5 days ago. No phone call, my aunt calls me everyday to see if the doctor called me back, and everyday I tell her the same thing NO. I wouldn't take my dog there."
"Dr. Gonzalez is a great surgeon. I absolutely loved him and his mannerisms. He was amazing with my mom during her surgery. The only problem with Dr. Gonzalez is his staff. The day of my mothers surgery I called to speak with the doctor and he told me to call back and speak with one of his front desk girls. I did and scheduled her appointment. Next thing you know the day of the appointment rolls around and they never scheduled my mother. Therefore they were unable to cancel her since the doctor had an emergency. Instead of being polite and apologizing to someone who has a drain attached to them, they were rude and refused to give my mother an appointment because "they didn't know when he would be back". It wasn't until the manager came out and told him to give her an appointment with his partner that they gave her an appointment. I honestly think he needs better people working for him. I'd take her some where else just because of the people working his appointments."
