"Ive been Dr Poniemans patient for 9 years. And im very satisfied with his work. Hes not just my doctor he's my friend ."
"Dr Ponieman is amazing and takes the time to treat you. I have been a patient since 2009 and even tho I am not there much thanks goodness he and the nurse and the PA are always nice!!"
"This office had great doctor, and PA's, and nurse. However, the receptionist does things when she feelings like it. If you need a referral, she can make you wait. Dr. Ponieman only see opioid addicts. You will see the latest PA. I've seen four different PA's at this office. The office is need a new receptionist !"
"I would never recommend this doctor. First, their phone system is horrible. The phone can ring busy for days. When I do finally get someone on the phone, they say the system was down - considering that this has gone on for years, it's time to get a new system. The doctor is never available to be seen; I've never known him to be in the office. The office is left to be run by 3 ladies who consider themselves medical professionals. I've had to wait over 1/2 hour while they have run out for coffee, which is just on the corner. They are more interested in having conversations amongst themselves than with the patient. When I called in for my results, they gave me my results from the previous year - and mentioned one of the results was below the required limit - but no one must have reviewed them since no one called me to tell me my results were off. I've had issues with getting prescriptions refilled because they don't return calls and/or the phone "isn't working". (the phone issue happens so often, I seriously wonder if they take it off the hook). I had to give at least one star to post this, but I don't believe they deserve any."
"Stay away!! This "practice" is lacking the basic principles as to what it means to provide care. I thought I would become a new patient here; however, what a mistake that was. So I started out with an online search of doctors near me and and found Dr. Diego Ponieman's 'reviews' and location to be compatible with what I was looking for. First off the experience I had has led me to believe that said reviews are either created by the doctor and staff themselves or I just had bad luck. I tried calling on Friday afternoon to book an appointment, yet no one answered the phone so I left message because the voicemail claims "I promise to call you back." I left all the relevant contact information and never received a call back. I went in on Monday around 11AM and the receptionist informed me that she hadn't gotten around to checking the voicemail messages yet although they open at 8AM. I was told I would be seen and so I sat down in the 1 of 4 chairs which serves a waiting area. After waiting for about 50 minutes and the receptionist's referencing to me as Fernando, although that is not even my name, I asked if there was any forms I had to fill out as a 'new patient?' She responded by telling me that the 'medical assistant does all that when she takes my height/weight; however the assistant seemed to be preoccupied with I don't know what because the door to her space was closed although I was the only waiting to embark on that process. Dr. Diego Ponieman was not at this location, but some woman in a 'white coat' did attend to one other patient who was there before me. Although I must say that said provider was gone for about 20 to 25 minutes because she had to "get her cell phone from her car." Apparently she had forgotten it and retrieving it was of higher importance than seeing patients. In closing, there are plenty of practices throughout NYC that offer actual patient care and anyone who subjects themselves to this type of treatment probably does so because they do not know how to navigate the healthcare system."
