"Dr. Freeman was my doctor for years until I moved way up in the Bronx. She's fantastic. I was once in an accident and was taken to a hospital and treated very badly. One of the nurses called her because I was unable to. She came into that hospital like my own private superhero!!! I could hear voices, people running. She called the head doctors down and demanded my room be changed and the racist doctor that was trying to discharge me, even though I was in severe spinal pain and couldn't walk, to be taken off my case! She was making phone calls and one nurse said she'd NEVER seen a Black female doctor command respect like Dr. Freeman! If it wasn't for her I might never had walked again!!"
