"We met Dr. Shulik during an emergency when my mom was septic with stones in her bile duct. She was admitted through the Emergency Department and was a very ill 91 year old. Dr. Shulik had phenomenal communication skills with my mom, as well as with other family members throughout her emergency procedure and follow up care. Once she was no longer septic and had a month to regain her strength, Dr. Shulik had to perform another procedure. Again, Dr. Shulik had excellent communication skills with my mom and our family. "I had a VERY negative experience with this office and Dr. Shulik. Upon arriving, my visit was brief, and no examination was provided. I was written a script and told to eat 2 kiwis a day. About a week after my visit my symptoms increased in severity, and I called the emergency answering service looking for guidance. No one called me back and I went to the ER. The ER recommend I follow up with the office again after being discharged. I made 5 phone calls and I spoke to the receptionists numerous times and they kept ensuring me the doctor knew and would be returning my call that day. It never happened, nor did it the next day or the next. I find it rude, unethical, and bad practice for a doctor to not even provide a check in phone call after one of their patients went to the hospital. I am not sure if this is typical but I found a new provider and am much happier. I would advise against using this practice."
