"Horrible experience. The program director is the rudest and most unsympathetic person. I finally got my daughter to go to the program and she chased away. My daughter saw her friend she was surprised to see her and she freaked out and start screaming no contact you can’t talk to her. She was rude and unkind from the minute we saw her. She should not be near kids that need support and sympathy. What a shame!"

"Hey, recent client speaking here! So I just graduated from the GAP (GenPsych Adolescent Program) Day Group and I feel the need to give my overview of the place. Many parents walk into the program blind of knowing to expect for their children which can have an impact on the quality of care in which they receive. In my experience, I’ve felt numerous times that there was a lack of emphasis on addressing real challenges and skills on how to overcome them through the group setting. The groups at GenPsych are designed to circulate themselves which makes them ineffective and repetitive after a short amount of time, especially when you’re already being put through crisis. Aside from meeting with individual therapists, clients at the facility are limited to the issues they can discuss with peers during monitored groups which makes it harder to cope with ongoing stressful situations. Bullying and passive aggressiveness between staff members and clients has also been a repeated instance in the time that I was in the program. Staff lack control over what goes on in many aspects- inclusive of the group rules, hence why bullying occurs on numerous occasions. Essentially, the facility tries to put bandaids on issues that are being faced, which is why I’d consider GenPsych to be nothing mere than a hole-in the-wall waiting room rather than something therapeutic. Your not getting what’s advertised- so don’t put your care into the hands of this facility. ps: and take this review like any other with a grain of salt. some experiences may vary."

"Techs are insanely unprofessional, bullies actually. Don’t know why some were even hired..choose a different career path because many children, including my own, are dreading going to program due to their fear of the workers. Shameful."

"Stay away from this institution. They are unprofessional and they sent my son back to hospital after only 20 minutes speaking to him. Hi was discharged from the hospital right away and he is back to school from that day but they were fast to change my credit card and I ended up with one more hospital bill because of them. So unprofessional and without real knowledge and experience. Just stay away!!!!!!!!! In addition to all bad experience and unprofessional approach they kept sending me a bill even though they refunded my money after complaint. Today to my surprise they charged my credit card again. I sent so many emails every time they sent me a bill and this is result! You get charged and you get punished by them. Please be careful and don’t go there or don’t send your kids!! They do care only about our money and how to change our insurance! They don’t help people. Like any other institution similar to this one, they only prescribe medication to have their hands clean. Parents please think twice before you you send your child there. Otherwise prepare for agony and nightmare."
