"This simple highway roadside marker with very little further detail. The marker reads, "Everett R. Burmaster. 1890-1965 lived in Irving. Historian, Archaeologist, Paleontologist, BMS Curator. Seneca adopted-Gahgewa. Saved Hanover Elm & Sottle Fiddle." I did not find any information online other than a single reference in reference to American Indian Freemasonry and a collection of Indian artifacts, "Many scores of fine specimens have been added to this collection by Everett R. Burmaster of Irving, N. Y., a field archaeologist of rare ability and insight." The marker was erected by the Town of Hanover HHC."
