"I’ve had multiple interactions with several different people at this department regarding tax compliance and requests to purchase city owned property and each experience has been pleasant. Thank you all. Quick tip - if you’re unsure of who to contact about your issue, email/call your local council person directly and they can likely point you in the right direction."
"Left a voicemail they never returned the call never mind the stated 48 hours it's now been 3 weeks@"
"Remarkably slow and ineffective in addressing needs and concerns of city residents. I have spent 9 months (so far) attempting to get a tax refund check issued after a court appeal; without my biweekly calls I doubt I'd have gotten any traction to this point. Over four months of contact was required before the refund was even started in processing, followed by three months of being told it was just waiting for a signature. When asked whose signature was required so that I might contact them, I was told that the staff did not know. Once signed (reportedly) I was told the check would be sent within two weeks. Six weeks later, I am now being told that there was an error in processing and I 'should' have a check within two weeks. Anyone in this office should simply be embarrassed by how unprofessional and incapable they have proven themselves to be with a singular simple task."
