"Avoid like the plague. I never write reviews but felt I had to because I lived nearby and have countless bad experiences with rude, unhelpful, and downright awful people at the pharmacy staff. If I were management I’d replace everyone there, I could write a book about how this place (the pharmacists) have harassed my girlfriend and I over medication that we have regularly taken for decades without issue elsewhere. A stain on Walgreens/Duane Reade as a whole. If I were management, I’d fire the whole department. If you fill your medicine here, know what you’re getting into. Obvious throwaway for a reason."

"Do you wanna die?!!! You're better off not getting prescriptions filled here this is the worst pharmacy ever so unprofessional and regards to patients life. My aunt whose an elderly woman was treated with no respect whatsoever. She waited ova the phone 20 minutes and when she called back the line was off the hook 45 minutes till they close. Also she was promised delivery on Friday at 2:08 p.m. at 5:42 they said she couldn't get delivery till Monday morning she didnt have enough medicine we are talking about Prednisone prescribe for severe asthma attack the clerk calls and said she will deliver it when she clears it with her boss my aunt never heard from them again and the phone was off the hook the rest of the night"

"Absolutely the worst pharmacy in NYC. My doctor called in a script not once, not twice but three times. I was on the phone with her and she tried calling and they would not pick up and I said that is my doctor and they said she can leave on voice mail. While I was waiting to be waited on 3 out of 5 people had the exact same issue and was told their doctor never called in script. I waited another 10 minutes and asked if they can check the voicemail and was told they are now giving covid shots so check back in a hour. I could either come back or wait. My doctor wanted me to confirm they received message before she left her office for the day especially since I needed this medication 4 days prior. I went back 3 times in 1 day. I was left on hold for more than 23 minutes waiting to check on my prescription. Totally unacceptable. AVOID AT ALL COST"

"This is the worst Duane Reade I’ve ever been to. Almost every single item is behind a plastic case, drug addicts/homeless and junkies come in and are allowed to steal regularly, even though they have a SECURITY GUARD that’s clearly not doing his job whatsoever. You have to push a button and wait for a RUDE employee to come and unlock the cases for you … that’s IF THEY EVEN FEEL LIKE IT. The only employees I’ve encountered that are kind here work at the checkout. Today I went to buy something and had to press the button and wait to have someone come to unlock the case. It looked like the actual manager. No greeting. No hello. No thank you for waiting. Just says “which one?” So I didn’t say anything and pointed at the item I wanted. Got it out from the case and then walked away. So he says “you’re welcome…” as if I owe him ANYTHING for not even greeting me or thanking me for my patience. What a total joke this place is!!! Total mess. Awful excuses for employees and actual customer service. Definitely avoid if you can. Disgusting."
