Welcome to the Elma Historical Society Inc., a cherished institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of Elma, New York. Conveniently located at 3011 Bowen Road, Elma, NY 14059, our facilities are nestled in the picturesque Western section of Elma Village Green Park, right in front of the Elma Senior Center.
From May through September, we invite you to explore our captivating exhibits on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Our site features the Hurd House Museum, the historic Hurd & Briggs Mill, and the Barn Museum, all of which are fully handicapped accessible to ensure a welcoming experience for all visitors.
We are thrilled to announce the reopening of the Hurd & Briggs 1846 Sawmill, following extensive renovations to its foundation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated Mill volunteers and our community for their patience and support during this period.
For those interested in becoming more involved, we hold monthly membership meetings every 2nd Monday at 7:00 PM. Please visit our Events webpage for more details and to stay updated on upcoming activities.
