"This pharmacy is terrible. I only came here because my pharmacy of many years closed. The pharmacy staff has the worst attitude. From the women that work the registers in the pharmacy to the big guy that is the pharmacist or is a pharmacy tech. His attitude is disgusting. This pharmacy managers need to train these people in customer service skills because they have zero. They don’t even deserve 1 star. I’ll be taking my business to CVS."
"I have come here about 20 times for medication refills with mixed success. If you get here when it’s absolutely dead quiet ( you might get reasonably attentive (although never ever polite) service. Come at a busy hour, like anytime after 3 pm, and it’s anyones guess what you’ll see. Tonight was the last straw. I had 4 very simple refills called in at 10:30. I called at 3:30, they said they needed until 5. I got there at 5:30, they said they needed 20 minutes more. When I got there at 6, they hadn’t started filling the order and I waited 35 more minutes watching the scene. There were tons of people in line who had not had their scripts filled. The techs behind the counter were totally overwhelmed, rummaging in the bins, pulling up the wrong name on the screen, sending people away without telling them that their meds weren’t going to be filled because the insurance had been declined.(A young woman came in for a second time and they said “come back 30 more minutes” until I told her she needed to ask *why* her script had taken two days to fill). What a disaster. Duane Reade used to be a good alternative to cvs and rite aid. Now walgreens hq have cut staff, closed stores, and gone to hell. No more. I’m going to find a local independent place or a delivery program. Enough is enough."
"Everytime I think about that fact they closed such a great Duane Reade on 97-98th and Columbus and kept this wretched Duane Reade open especially when I decide to give it another chance after a long and what I hoped would be a permanent layoff, I go back to just get to the point where I said, I'll write a review this time and hope it's one of many to shut this location down! I never even realized this location has a pharmacy that literally is closed every single damb weekend! I just found out its their actual policy! I had a very important prescription sent there this morning. Went there, and was informed "our pharmacy is closed on weekends"? WTH? And then urgent care had already closed, so now today as I URGENTLY needed and was prescribed this medication for, I can't get until Monday!? OMG I hope they close and burn this store location down to build and open a business with some real value and use."
"Pharmacy staff told me my insurance wasn’t covering the prescription so I had to get an alternate prescription savings card only to find out later on that my insurance would cover the prescription! As a customer for a couple of years, I still spent an hour to overpay for my prescription. Then when they declined another prescription I called my insurance who stated both of the prescriptions were covered and there seemed to be an error in process, so they offered me a pharmacy phone number for the staff who took this as a slight against them and said that there was a wrong code but my insurance hadn’t changed since I had given them the information years ago. The man was rude he had me overpay and then when I finally had everything correct for this order, I go to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy and it’s closed on the weekends. Why they don’t have signage stating that the pharmacy is closed on weekends is beyond me but I also have to wonder why do they have cashiers putting prescriptions together for delivery while checking a very long line of customers out? Avoid this place if you can."
"Booked a flu shot & booster online at this location about a week ago for 9/20. Received a call today (9/19) that my appointment is now cancelled. Called the pharmacy to reschedule and they told me to rebook online. The soonest appointment would be for Oct. 3rd. Whoever I spoke with was completely unhelpful and rude. Also, why would a pharmacy be closed on a Tuesday? Do people not need meds and pharmacists on Tuesdays anymore? Terrible policy."
