"Extreme rude owner is not willing to answer questions of other clients. Many more good places around there. Avoid this"
"ATROCIOUS. The owner of this shop was abusive, presumptuous, and downright BIZARRE. Never in my life have I experienced anything like it. My friend was in town from the other side of the country to take care of her dying mother and had to be with her at a certain time. I had yet to find her a wedding gift and she loved the stuff so inquired as to whether he’d be willing to open early. I was really looking forward to her having this little joy during such a difficult visit. Not 10 minutes into us looking around (enthusiastically, I might add) did he start acting annoyed and saying things about how he didn’t open early to just have us browse, and being very hostile and EXTREMELY inappropriate. I WAS going to buy some items from the store for myself and my friend but we were just deciding. After a subsequent full-blown five minute SHOCKING tirade by him I wanted to walk out but my friend (feeling shaken and bullied) purchased two things which she now regrets. We were both left deeply unsettled by it. He should be ashamed of himself. My advice to him? Keep your mouth shut. Your temper tantrum cost you thousands of dollars."
"Still one of the very best gems in New York City. Claude Noel, our French provincial friend who owns that beautiful shop is so friendly and lovely and no has the most beautiful provincial French country. Dishware!"
"This shop and its wares are completely charming. I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here since I discovered it. HOWEVER, on one piece I bought, the glaze and the decoration began to flake off after several months. (My other pieces are all fine.). Today I stopped in, hoping to buy a couple of gifts, and brought the defective piece with me. The clerk offered NO credit, no replacement, not so much as an apology. She said she wasn’t authorized to and I asked if she’d contact the owner, which she did. Still nothing. I’d really wanted to get a couple of gifts there but this has really soured me on the place. I won’t be back."
"My husband and I love this shop and stop by often just to take the beauty of all the wonderful individual pieces and the ambiance of this remarkably designed shop, you feel like you're in the south of France. The owners, Claude and William, are so helpful with their ideas and address your needs. We have purchased dishes, bowls, pitchers, a chandelier and many more gorgeous pottery items, plus an old desk from Lyon.A must see!Maggie Allen"
