"The Williamsville Dept of Labor office provides EXCELLENT resources and guidance for helping you get back on your feet during your job search. I can personally say my case worker is one of the kindest, most understanding people I’ve ever had the pleasure meeting. He has taken time with me to understand what industry I’m interested in (such as going back to the one I was previously in), venturing out in a new field, etc. Based off my interests and what I want to do with my life after a very difficult situation, I have received some awesome job referrals to look into, and if it’s a good fit, I apply. They take into consideration so many factors to ensure success for your future career, such as what is the wage you’re aiming for, the shifts you want to work & so much more. Additionally, my case worker provided WNY Resources I never knew existed that may be able to provide you assistance depending on your situation. They’re also provide amazing advice and guidance how to strengthen your resume and what can help you stand out amongst other candidates when applying for a job. My case worker has also help boost my confidence after being at an all-time low with what happened with my job loss. It can happen to anyone, even when you’re a very hard, professional worker and ended up in a terrible situation. The Williamsville DOL builds and helps to provide the tools to set you up for success, BUT, you ultimately have to be willing to put in the equal effort when finding a job. I thought the building WAS the Department of Labor which I think is in Albany. Note: It’s NOT the DOL you sometimes have to wait a very long time to call the 800 number to try to get a hold of an agent. That’s something I learned and hope others do, too. I cannot recommend the Williamsville DOL enough. Everyone who works there is SO KIND. I didn’t expect that and thought I’d be looked at like I’m lazy, even though it wasn’t my fault what happened and was out in the unfortunate position of losing my job. But it’s the opposite; they’re so respectful, they do this all day and 100% get it and are so understanding. Thank you for helping me."
"This is a joke. Been calling for 4 weeks now and it's always "Sorry, all agents are busy assisting other customers. Please call back later." From 8-5, same message. Fascists the lot of of them. Want to tax my income whilst I'm working, but refuse to helpe when I got laid off. Joke!"
"Trying to speak with representative is impossible . I have been trying since Nov . Unemployment has it rigged so you cannot get anybody on the phone . Disgusting typical government"
"The lady Pam who works there went above and beyond to help me amazing human being. The world needs more people like her!"
"Les Lee is pathetic. He just gives you a number for an automated system. Why is a person like this employed by NYS. You should be ashamed. They do not want to help anyone."
