"Assalaam Alaikum. A week ago my wife and myself were making a trip to Canada by car from Albany. As we were approaching the Bufffalo area ,we searched on the internet for a masjid which was convenient to where we were on the interstate for us to do our juma salah and found Masjid As Salaam. Arriving a bit early and found a spot to park across the street was quite easy . We were quite impressed with the architecture of this old building which served the community as a majid. It's inside brought back memories of our trips to Turkey and Morrocco and other place of the middle east, Alhamdolillah. Being their early the masjid was basically empty, but got filled up very quickly. As was noticed the congregation was of a cross section of brothers from various denominations, and a huge amount of the younger generation due to being out of school for the summer. However, was very disappointed to listen to a khutba delivered only in arabic, which personally i feel was a disservice to a community as such. I may be wrong, but i am quite sure every one present there ,spoke and has some degree of understanding of the english language. While agreed, a part of the khutba is done in arabic, i think and feel that some of it's explanation should also be complemented with some degree of english for those who do not speak or understand the arabic language given that the khutba was orated by a younger Khateeb. I think also a khutba is necessary for the younger generation and new muslims on the ethiquettes of masjid and prayers especially being properly dressed for salah in the masjid. I say this because a brother who looks like a new muslim came andnwalked up to the front in shorts and tea shirt and another was praying with his pants hanging lower than his behind. At a period like we are seeing now when so many are reverting to Islam, the need for educating the masses are very important in welcoming them.. May Allah guide and bless us all in the right path with understanding His Deen. Jazakallah. Mansoor K. July 7th 2024."
"Arab/Yamani mosque at convenient space. It's transformed from church. Vibrant community. Alhamdulillah. May Allah SWT bless them."
"The most beautiful masjid I’ve been to in Canada tabarakallah."
"Alhamdulillah I’m incredibly grateful to have found this hidden gem in Buffalo. This masjid instantly became my favorite masjid after just one visit. The women area of the masjid is well-maintained and easily accessible. The Jummah congregation was wonderful!"
