"A must visit to see some well preserved WWII era vessels that served in the pacific theatre which is not often mentioned here. Very reasonable price and extremely educational for both adults and kids. But beware of the submarine it is extremely challenging to walk from one end to another because of the tight pace and very easy to get a bruise! Mad respect to all the veterans that served on these vessels."
"We went to see Children’s museum Buffalo, NY. It has spectacular outdoor view of Navy museum on the Buffalo river harbor. So we decided to talk a walk. It is a very nice walk. The big naval ship has a ticket if you like to explore it from inside. It also has timings. It is connected to a submarine on the side. There is a light house. Bunch of water front restaurants. The park has different monuments to tribute army, costal guards, navy and Air Force."
"Beautiful park. Visited after a stay in Niagara. So many things to do right on the water from boat rides, bike rentals, and kayaks. Lots of food options too. Great place to spend a few hours or a day"
"Very cool place! I recommend getting tickets to visit the two ships. The walk along the waterline has several memorials as well as a lot of information about the various wars/battles and how America participated in them. It’s actually one of the largest naval parks in the US. It’s worth a visit for sure. Although you have to pay to your the ships, the rest of the area is free. There are many places to sit, relax, enjoy the views, and remember the men and women who have their lives for the freedom of all Americans. The gardens are very well kept and lovely and the walk ways are all very accesible. A nice place to visit with the whole family. There are also several free parking spots in the adjacent parking lot as well as some paid parking. Both times I visited, on a Friday and on a Saturday, I was able to find an available free parking spot."
"Over the past few years they have definitely been remodeling everything, from the park outside with memorials and the ships being fixed up, there is still plenty of work to go but looks so much better, tickets are $20.00 per person, I expect to spend a couple hours exploring the ships. It's definitely not handicap accessible, and some areas of the ship are difficult for certain people and elderly. Many tight spaces and many stairs, be ready for a workout"
