"I bought a John Deere riding mower about 5 years ago. It cost more in yearly maintenance with Drakes than it cost me to maintain my BMW with the dealership on a yearly basis. This is ridiculous for a simple riding mower. Recently, the mower had starting problems which they said were due to the electronic ignition system failing. They replaced the module at a cost of $1500.00. I got three cuttings out of it before it blew short and almost started a fire. It's not a good thing to be sitting atop a gas tank with an electrical system close by that starts fires, trust me. Of course it would be another $1500.00 to repair plus the cost of two way pick up and drop off, so I'm scrapping the mower completely, and going with a different service and company altogether. Drakes obviously does not offer good service, and charge way too much for it. Also, the John Deere tractor lacks quality and is inherently unsafe, given the inferior electrical system."

"Unfortunately these guys are the only JD dealers around. Their arrogant attitudes cause dread everything I have to call or visit. They seem not to realize they just a counter man for a parts house. Wish there was another choice!"

"I recently had my John Deere tractor serviced at LandPro Equipment in Clarence NY. Service Manager Joe Lewis took care of me throughout the process. Pickup and delivery were scheduled at my convenience and were timely. Joe saved me a significant amount of money by rebuilding the spindles on the tractor deck versus replacing them. There were other items that I had asked to be checked out and I was told they were OK so this is not one of those places that sells you something that you do not need. Kudos to Joe and his staff who made me feel that they were sincere when they told me how they appreciate my business."

"I have a mid 1980s John Deere F910 lawn tractor that had a serious hydro transmission fluid leak. Contacted Landpro Clarence dealer in the fall. They were too busy and said call them in January which I did Again they said they were too busy to take it on, despite advertising no job too big or small. Suggested I contact their Batavia location, but didn’t do that for me. So much for customer service…. Used them once before and they just wanted to sell me a new machine. I gave a one rating because there was no zero rating . Called Lockport Small Engine Repair and took it there. Ryan replaced an input shaft seal without having to pull the transmission and fixed it in one day at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Lockport Small Engine Repair and would be my go to place in the future. Clean, nice equipment and great people there!"
