"I called Downtown Roofing for a quote but they are the same company as Royal Roofing & Siding Brooklyn. They are under the same company. I researched local roofing companies with great reviews to get quotes. I thought this would be one, sadly I was very wrong. I met with the estimator who gave me an entire breakdown of the different options and what it would cost. We spoke on the phone a few times and agreed on a price to get the job done. They sent me a contract to sign and then I waited to get the job scheduled. Took about a week and they call to let me know the signed quote in the contract was incorrect and they cannot honor the price and in order to do the job it would have to be $5,000 more. I, understandably upset, ask how can there be such a big discrepancy. He tells me oh there was some rain that day that he came out, he would be losing money if they did the job and that he would have to project manager reach out to further discuss the issue. I get a call from someone who says how they have to re-train the estimator and they can't do the job at all. Tells me they reserve the rights to cancel their contracts within 60 days. Even mentioning that they don't even know why I was given the second price because even that they can't do...At this point it's laughable. Zero true accountability and a lot of fluff about how many men they have in their crew and how great of a job they do. He tells me I can even reach out to their other customers. No thanks, I've wasted enough time. Bottomline, steer clear of these guys who over promise but do not deliver and wastes your time."
