"You need to feel comfortable with a company that you are doing business with. Many times consumers are intimidated and pushed into a sale, but not with this company. Steve was nothing less than professional and a person of his word. He did not try to over sell us into a bigger unit which would have been overkill for our space. He also sent out a repair tech because I wasn't happy with the remote on the fireplace. They quickly replaced the remote once they diagnosed it that same day. We are very pleased with this company and every employee we've encountered. Thank you for your exceptional service. It's noticed! Maria & Jeff"
"This company is a well oiled machine! Met with Steve to design our gas fireplace. Three weeks later they installed it without a hitch. Installer Dan is very talented and meticulous. I would highly recommend."
"Great place to work. I am a former employee and always think back to the great experiences and friends I met there. I'm in a different place now, but will never forget the great opportunity I had a truax and hovey."
"Up to the point where I got the guy "who could help me", the people there were friendly and seemed to want to help. I simply needed a floor shutoff valve for my gas fireplace. They handed me off to some curmudgeonly older guy. Apparently, I was taking up his time. I didn't ask him to hurry or put off any ody to help me. I showed him a photo. He told me he had what he had and that the 90 degree part I needed may matter to me but it doesn't matter to him. He handed me a part from the storage room and walked away. When I caught up to him at his desk, he was yelling "do ya want it or what?" I'm a DIYer and this is not out of my wheelhouse, but I wanted to make sure to get everything I need. This really bothered him. He barked out a dismissive suggestion and told me I should probably go to a place over by Heids. I will do that."
"About three years ago I paid Truax and Hovey about $2000 to insulate a crawl space in my basement. I've wondered why the room above was not warmer - decided to insulate the entire basement with another insulating company - that's when I learned that Truax and Hovey did not insulate the rim joist in the crawl space which allowed cold air to continue to flow through the crawl space - I regret contracting with them for this work - it was a waste of money - I'm paying $7000 to have my entire large basement and two crawl spaces insulated by another company"
