"Recently, I fell in my bedroom. I was unable to get up. My husband could not get me up. We called 911 and Wellesley Island Fire Dept. responded promptly. The volunteers who came were professional, well trained and sensitive to my needs. They transported me to the ER at Alex Bay Hospital. This is the first time in the 39 years we have lived here that we had to use this service. Our community is well served by these volunteers. We owe them public support and praise."
